A look ahead to the Pope's busy year this year.
Particularly interesting in light of recent tensions will be his visit to Rome's synagogue on Sunday. What's often forgotten is that much of the Church's policy towards the Jews under John Paul II - a time of great rapprochement - was directed by Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger. With that in mind, he will undoubtedly find the right words to say on Sunday, although expect some Jewish leaders to remain implacable.
